Last Sunday, October 15, a Social Touch Tournament took place at Utrecht Rugby Club.
For this event, people could register to participate and get acquainted with Touch Rugby
with players of different levels.
Most Rugby fans were still recovering from the Rugby World Cup violence of the day before
the next day no fewer than 7 delegated clubs from the Netherlands are ready to enjoy a beautiful day of Touch Rugby together
to make it a day.
With clubs from The Hague (playing at HRC), Amsterdam (playing at NRCA / AAC), Utrecht (URC), Rotterdam (RRC),
Delft (RCD), Amersfoort (Rugby Club Eemland), Eindhoven (RC The Vets / Elephants) and Amsterdam Westerpark.

The players (male / female), with different playing levels, were put together in different mixed teams:
Novice, advanced and experienced players who are active at international level. This created a nice dynamic in which there was fun offensive and defensive play. And that with players who only got to know each other in a short period of time. There was also time in between. to convey some tactical insights to the new players, where the level
a higher return was achieved which was something to see!
Later in the day there was also room for the ladies and men to play against each other separately. For the ladies, Amsterdam played against the Barbarians team (mix of The Hague, Eindhoven, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Westerpark)
to give the ladies of Amsterdam a training moment before they leave for Berlin next weekend. And the gentlemen played matches among themselves to end this day in a fun way.

Afterwards it was time to all watch the Rugby Quarter Final between England and Fiji, under the guise of a snack and drink, where Rugby players and Touchers followed the match together.
