About Touch Netherlands

Touch Nederland is committed to promoting the Touch Rugby sport in the Netherlands. Our vision is to create a vibrant community of players who share a passion for the game and embody the values of teamwork, respect and sportsmanship.

Management Code of Conduct Vision & Mission

The Netherlands Touch Association (NTA) is the governing body of Touch Rugby in the Netherlands.

Our role as stewards of the game is to
promote, encourage, nurture, develop and grow Touch Rugby in the Netherlands, in accordance with the rules and guidelines of the Federation of International Touch (FIT).

We are a non-profit Organization funded primarily by membership fees and guided by a volunteer-run executive committee selected by our members.

Our goal is to ensure that everyone who wants to play the sport can do so in a safe, consistent and enjoyable environment.

This happens in several ways:

  • From teaching and delivering refereeing and coaching courses
  • To organizing clinics
  • To organizing and promoting events and tournaments from grassroots to elite divisions at Touch Nationals
  • To ensure that healthy policies are put in place, updated and monitored
  • To liaise and collaborate to work with some of our partners to make the sport a reality
  • To develop and select national teams
  • To support and set up Touch competitions
  • To finally work with the European and global Touch community to grow the game

We are in a period of unprecedented growth in terms of the number of people playing Touch in the Netherlands – especially as people become increasingly aware of its benefits: it is fun and social, while at the same time promoting an active lifestyle and improving fitness.

Our current focus and vision is very much on supporting this increased participation in the coming years, at all levels, but with a particular emphasis on youth participation and development, creating a strong foundation for the future.

We are immensely proud of all our players, coaches, administrators and referees, from our grassroots participants to international representatives.
