First round Touch Oranje Series

In Amsterdam, 6 teams participated to have a fun day together in a Round Robin setting. This Series is known for putting the Social aspect first and introducing new players to Touch Rugby.

So today the first edition was on the program at the NRCA grounds in Amsterdam.

Today's teams consisted of:

ROUND ROBIN 1

After a good warm-up of all teams, the first Round Robin started. In this round, Amsterdam Westerpark - Amsterdam Fon met each other where both teams were evenly matched. This was also reflected in the result and it was a fun match to play. to watch as a neutral spectator. The match ended in a draw: 5-5

On the other field there was a good battle going on between Utrecht Touch - Amsterdam Masayo.

Both teams also present with Internationals, made it a fun match with fun play on both sides. Here too the result ended in a draw: 3-3

ROUND ROBIN 2

For the first time today, The Hague and Rotterdam were allowed to compete against each other. Rotterdam, which has returned to the Touch Community after a long time, started the match strongly.

Even took the lead in the match against a strong formation from The Hague with the necessary experience in the team.

But it was The Hague that ultimately came out on top: 5-2

On the other hand, there was another Amsterdam derby between Amsterdam Westerpark - Amsterdam Masayo.

Here too, things were fierce with healthy rivalry. Amsterdam Westerpark made itself heard again and made

very cleverly turned the match into a win: 1-3

ROUND ROBIN 3

The first classic was there again, Amsterdam Fon - The Hague.

While The Hague had to have its superiors at the Amsterdam tournament Touch 'n Tulips, this time the roles were reversed.

The Hague, which performed well, disappointed Amsterdam with a victory: 1-3

Then it was the turn of Utrecht - Rotterdam, which on paper is a nice poster.

Utrecht's speed has always been a great weapon and that was also a fact in this case. But the Rotterdam team held up well and even provided resistance against Utrecht's fast players.

Utrecht was a size too big and deserved the points: 3-6

ROUND ROBIN 4

In the fourth round there was a nice chat between the two teams from Amsterdam, Amsterdam Fon against Amsterdam Masayo.

Both teams were evenly matched with many fun actions during the match, which were evenly matched.

But Masayo's team still had the say in this fascinating match: 3-4

On the other field, Utrecht was allowed to compete against a rather annoyed Amsterdam Westerpark.

The Amsterdam team showed very good play against a tough Utrecht.

Against the odds, this match still feels like a victory for Amsterdam Westerpark: 2-2

ROUND ROBIN 5

The final round of the Orange Series has already begun with 2 games to go.

One of these was Amsterdam Fon against Rotterdam, which had an exciting opening phase.

Once again Rotterdam got off to a good start and led 2-0. Amsterdam then increased the pace and with good attacking play brought Rotterdam to its knees.

The team from Amsterdam completely turned the match around: 4-2

Then it was the turn between The Hague and Amsterdam Westerpark, both teams in good form this round.

Where Amsterdam Westerpark surprised many teams with nice Touch, a stunt seemed to be in the making again.

Although fitness started to play a role, The Hague showed that it had a fit team and struck crucially.

The Hague can still declare itself the winner of the day in this round: 5-2
